Butterfly pose Title is the Sanskrit word which means butterfly. Title asana is very popularly known as butterfly pose because of the movement of the legs during the posture, that gives the appearance of butterfly flapping its wings. This pose is also known as Bandhakone asana and cobbler pose as it resembles the sitting position of a cobbler at work. Benefits of the Butterfly pose: It is good stretch for the inner thighs, knees and groins. Improves flexibility in the groin and hip region.
